e-session: lela and stephanie
January 23, 2012
i need to start this post by saying that these two were amazing and were very willing to oblige my request of doing a photo shoot when it was -15 outside, i think the photos came out beautifully and on a warmer day, this would have never happened.
lela and stephanie contacted me asking to meet and talk engagement sessions. we finally came up with a date to meet and we discussed many possibilities with their session and then they told me that they were one of the contest finalists for a dream wedding on the empire state building on valentine’s day!
a day before our session they found out that they were one of four couples to have won! if you ever meet these two, you will know why they won. they have this great chemistry and i could really tell that they were meant for each other.
i could go on with how great they are, but i’d rather let the pics do the talking.

trash the dress: jennifer and andy
October 23, 2011
every once in a while i get to do a trash the dress session, but this is the first time i’ve done it with 4-wheelers and what an experience it was. jennifer and andy came up with this idea when we met earlier in the year to talk about their wedding. once the wedding had come and gone we started brainstorming some more and finally came up with a game plan for their session.
after a short drive and a nice long ride we got to our destination and had a good time getting images. the scenery was beautiful and splashing through the mud was great =)
i’m glad i got to do this with these two, it was a blast and it’s something i’ll never forget.

weddings: kali and david
September 22, 2011
kali and david had their wedding out at crow creek mine in girdwood, ak. if you’ve never been there, than i recommend the drive.
i knew that this was wedding was going to be beautiful when she said her friends and family were going to decorate because they’re all artists. when i walked the grounds i couldn’t help but be in awe of how awesome everything looked. great job to everyone involved!
so i know the decorations were going to be awesome. bride and groom definitely awesome. friends and family just as awesome. entertainment? H3, awesome…very very awesome.
this wedding did not disappoint, it is up there as one of my favs!
kali and dave, thanks for the great times and allowing me to capture this wonderful event!

weddings: jennifer and andy
August 30, 2011
this was one of the funnest weddings i have ever been to, either as a guest or a photographer. jennifer and andy really know how to have a great time! i knew it was going to be a party because i actually photographed andy’s younger brother’s wedding back in january. that was a party and many of those guests were guests at this wedding.
one of my fav things about this couple is that you can really tell that they are in love. the way they look at each other and the way that they interact. you can tell that they have a special bond and it is a beautiful thing.
sometimes i type too much so i’m going to let the pics do the rest of the typing =)

family sessions: kincher
August 18, 2011
when my friends come in from out of town it’s always a pleasure to see them and it’s even better if they want me to take their pics. amber and mark use to live in anchorage, but moved to houston where rachel was born and later moved to oklahoma city.
the kincher family came back to alaska for my sister’s wedding as well as seeing other friends and doing the whole ak experience. we had a great time during our session and the weather could not have been more perfect…what an awesome sunset!!

e-session: rebecca and hollis
July 18, 2011
rebecca is my sister and hollis has been my friend for over 20 years. obviously this session was a little more special to me so i wanted to give them something that they haven’t ever had, a true experience.
rebecca let me have free reign on what we were going to do so i had fun figuring things out. after i figured out all the logistics, i decided to give her a little contrast with her session. something a bit more edgy, yet classy and i feel that it turned out great.
congrats to my sister and my good friend, hollisy for their upcoming wedding. love you guys.

sessions: damara
July 16, 2011
damara is my friend. she has been a good friend ever since i met her about four years ago. we always have a lot of fun talking or we just sit down and have some food and drink and laugh at each other’s stories. whatever we did, we made the most of it and it’s always been great.
nearly the entire time i have known her, i have been promising to do a session with her and i always knew what i would do. when she told me that she was leaving state for a while i knew my time was limited and i needed to fulfill my commitment to my friend.
my biggest worry was to try and create something that she has been waiting for 4 years to experience and see. i hope i did you proud, damara.
