weddings: kolby and russell

October 25, 2010

my friend and next door neighbor, greg martin asked me to help second shoot for kolby and russell’s wedding. the day these two got married there was a huge windstorm that knocked out power across the southside of anchorage.
even with the power out, the wind blowing like crazy, nothing was going to stop this wedding. as i was hanging with the boys they told stories ate, drank and were very merry! i had a blast with the guys, it reminded me of hanging out with my group of friends.
as this isn’t the role i typically carry when i do weddings, my responsibilities were to capture russell getting ready and get detail shots at our lady of guadalupe and at the capt. cook hotel.
though i wasn’t the primary photographer, i had a lot of fun and was free to do what i wanted to do.
thanks greg for letting me be a part of this and thanks to kolby and russell for being an awesome couple!

about a month ago my friend julie got a hold of me to do a portrait session.
back in the day, julie was one of my friends that i hung out with on a regular basis. as we grew older, we went our separate ways and experienced various things through our life.
during our session we were able to catch up and have a great time while capturing beautiful images out at kincaid park.
here’s to old times and old friends.

2 years in business is a big thing especially for small businesses. bottoms is no exception to this and they wanted to celebrate in style so they decided to have a fashion show at rum runners.
with awesome clothes and an awesome clientele it was no surprise to see rum runners packed, everyone knew this show was going to be a hit. with a great atmosphere, hot models, hot clothes and drinks to keep em cool this turned out to be quite the event.
